Description

Dataset Card for IFEval

Dataset Summary

This dataset contains the prompts used in the Instruction-Following Eval (IFEval) benchmark for large language models. It contains around 500 "verifiable instructions" such as "write in more than 400 words" and "mention the keyword of AI at least 3 times" which can be verified by heuristics. To load the dataset, run:

from datasets import load_dataset

ifeval = load_dataset("google/IFEval")

Supported Tasks and… See the full description on the dataset page: https://huggingface.co/datasets/google/IFEval.

Supported Tasks and Leaderboards

The IFEval dataset is designed for evaluating chat or instruction fine-tuned language models and is one of the core benchmarks used in the Open LLM Leaderboard.

Languages

The data in IFEval are in English (BCP-47 en).

Data Fields

The data fields are as follows:

  • key: A unique ID for the prompt.
  • prompt: Describes the task the model should perform.
  • instruction_id_list: An array of verifiable instructions. See Table 1 of the paper for the full set with their descriptions.
  • kwargs: An array of arguments used to specify each verifiable instruction in instruction_id_list.

README history 9 revisions

Every night we snapshot the README of every dataset in the catalog. When the SHA changes we archive the new version and diff it against the last. This is the evolving thought record of the alignment-data field: what the author decided to say about the corpus, and how that framing shifted over time.

Used by abliterated models none yet

No abliterated models in our catalog have declared this dataset in their YAML metadata yet. This can mean the dataset is used but not declared, is used outside abliteration workflows, or is new. The link will populate automatically as models are indexed.

Derived corpora 2 datasets in the catalog cite this one

Other datasets in the catalog whose description names this one as a source (`based on`, `derived from`, `extended from`, `subset of`, `translated from`, etc.). This is the lineage-hint layer that complements the "Used by models" section above: many models cite the derived corpus rather than this root.

Run models on your own machine, not in the cloud.

Every model page has an "Open in Abliteration" button that hands the model directly to the first-party desktop client, at the quantization your rig can actually run. No API keys, no subscription, no prompt leakage.
