What each report is
The Market & Technical Report is a quarterly reference document mapping the full field of refusal removal in open-weight language models, both weight-editing abliteration and fine-tuning-based uncensored techniques. Its structure runs through the market's timeline, its terminology, the M1 to M9 methods taxonomy, the academic corpus, the refusal direction as a technical primer, the producer ecosystem, the historical deletion record, and the legal and ethical landscape. It is a reference, not a news digest. It does not editorialize, does not rank, does not recommend.
The Philosophical Cartography is a biannual mapping of the philosophical discourse around the moral installation in language models. Its structure runs through the academic layer (analytic and continental philosophy across English, German, French, Italian, Russian), the intellectual-media layer (Substacks, podcasts, public philosophy), and the borderline zone where the technical and the philosophical meet. It is written from the Infrahuman Laboratory's own position on moral installation and post-moral subjectivity, and its cartographic work is preparatory to the laboratory's own theoretical contribution.
Why two tracks and not one
The two reports address the same object from incompatible registers. The market report answers what exists, in numbers and with sources. The philosophical cartography answers what is being said about what exists, and where the argument has not yet gone. They talk to different audiences (security teams, researchers and journalists for the first; philosophers, cultural theorists and academic media for the second) and are read on different timescales. Keeping them separate keeps each honest to its own reading discipline. Publishing them under one roof, on a fixed cadence, makes it possible to see the field from both distances at once.
Cadence and canon
The market report is quarterly. The philosophical cartography is biannual. Each issue is dated, versioned, and preserved at its issue-specific URL after the next issue supersedes it, so citations to a specific edition remain resolvable years later. Each is published under CC BY 4.0. Each carries a DOI via Zenodo once the first issue lands, and an arXiv preprint copy where the format permits.
How to cite
Every issue page carries a citation block with BibTeX, APA, and Chicago pre-formatted for that specific issue. Where a claim references a subsequent revision, cite the versioned URL. Where a claim references the entire track rather than a specific issue, cite the track landing page as the canonical entry point.
Underneath, the same laboratory
Both reports are produced by the same small editorial team under the Infrahuman Laboratory at Catyonic OÜ. The market report is the laboratory's structured empirical output; the philosophical cartography is its theoretical output.
