This page lists every takedown request we have acted on, without identifying the requester. The point is to show, publicly and continuously, that removals happen through a documented legal process rather than at anyone's whim.
What we count
A "takedown request" is any formal or informal communication asking us to remove, hide, or modify content on the Site. It is counted here from the moment we receive it, whether or not we act on it. Bulk automated abuse (spam) is not counted.
"Actioned" means we removed or modified content. "Declined" means we responded but the request did not meet the criteria in Section 9 of our Terms of Use - typically because the request was not backed by a valid legal basis or came from a party without standing.
What we do not publish
We publish the fact, the date, the legal basis, the type of content affected, and what we did. We do not publish the identity of the requester, personal details, or the exact URL if publishing it would defeat the purpose of the removal (for example, a personal-data GDPR request).
Log
No takedown requests have been acted on to date. When the first request meets the criteria in our Terms and results in a removal, it will be published here.
Where to send a request
See Section 9 of the Terms of Use for what is required. Submit to [email protected].
