The abliteration.org tracker crossed 17,000 records on the morning of 17 September 2026, roughly two thousand up from the mid-June milestone at 15,000. That is a working-day rate of about twenty new models per day tracked into the catalog, sustained across three months.
Two thirds of the growth in that window came from Heretic-produced models. Philipp Weidmann's tool, released November 2025, has now seeded more than five thousand entries into the catalog by our count. The other producer to watch is huihui-ai, whose layer-wise ablation shop continues at a steady cadence and pushed the total production count past two hundred and twenty this quarter. Between those two, and the quantization republishing layer that ferries each new build into every format the community uses, the field's raw output has stopped being scarcity-limited.
What did not grow at the same rate: base-model diversity. New abliterations of Qwen still dominate. Gemma 4 shows up quickly (its first abliteration landed within ninety minutes of release, as recorded elsewhere) but continues to be under-abliterated relative to Qwen. Llama derivatives run behind both. This is producer preference, not model availability, and it is one of the things the market report will read in Track 1.
